Our Journey

Passion Fruit Catering was founded in 2015 by qualified Chef Director, Sara Gibson from a passion for cookery, a love of fine food and hospitality. The catering business was first based in our home kitchen and not before long expanded into commercial premises in Hertfordshire. The business has grown through word of mouth and recommendations and has developed a fantastic reputation, and the go-to catering company for exciting and beautiful parties.

In August 2022 we relocated to Poole, after a long awaited goal to live by the beautiful Dorset coast. We are thrilled to be here and are excited to be delivering our catering services across Dorset and continue to travel beyond for our existing clients.

Our mission since day one, is to deliver the highest standard, bespoke and unique party and event catering to a restaurant standard in the comfort of your home or venue. We pride ourselves on our impeccable attention to detail and anything is possible attitude.

Meet the Owners

Chef Director – Sara Gibson

Sara, a qualified Chef with 21 years experience, began her culinary training in London and has worked in Michelin star restaurants, hotels and event venues. One of her most memorable achievements, whilst working as the Head Chef of The Queen’s House in Greenwich, was cooking for the late Majesty the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations for 500 guests and providing full catering for the England equestrian team during the 2012 Olympics. Sara has a huge passion for creating bespoke menus, tailored to our clients ideas and requirements, producing a truly unique menu for every event, as no two events are ever the same! You will find Sara at every event, leading the kitchen team and ensuring the food is executed to perfection.

Events Director – Frances Laws

Frances, joined the business after leaving her role for 15 years as a Detective in the Metropolitan police service. She is an avid “foodie” which fuelled the change of career path and now has 8 years of catering and event management experience.

Now as Senior Events Manager, from your first initial enquiry to the final farewell, Frances works tirelessly on the pre-event planning and managing the team on the event day, ensuring all of the small details are checked and the service is delivered seamlessly.
